Thanks in advance for any help here. We are looking at buying a Spra coupe. We have traditionally had trailed units (90foot 3000L). There is a few Nitros working around here and are often getting stuck in wet conditions. Using the Plane for the bulk of our fungicide and nitrogen etc. Getting very pricey. Not sure about the small tank on the Spra coupes (need good nurse set up?).
Looking at either 3640 4640 or 4650. What to look out for? I am 6'5 will I hate life in this thing!? I have the high clearance 4660, i am 6'4 and have no problems inside the cab as far as being cramped.
I have the yellow coupe and not the old rattle trap white ones. Ive had both and agco has a good product with this new coupe. All I spray with it is roundup and I can do 100 acres between fillups, i dont spray the fertilizer with it because its so corrosive. If ya have your water treated so all you have to do is put in your roundup or whatever chemical you are using its very fast to fill up the small 400 gallon tank and your on your way.
Plus you can get out there earlier because it only weighs 11,000lbs with an empty tank. Good luck with your search. I have the high clearance 4660, i am 6'4 and have no problems inside the cab as far as being cramped. I have the yellow coupe and not the old rattle trap white ones.

I think the newer ones are a bit out of our price range althouth they look great inside and out.
There is none around this area (mostly up in Qld/NSW for cotton etc) so our theory is to try one without spending to much and maybe upgrade quickly if it all works well. Ive had several coupes over the years 3640 Manual trans,4640 auto and and 7660. The 40 series are a great small high clearance sprayer and will cover a lot of acres. Go for a 4660 first up they have better transmition more hp and they dont tend to run as hot in summer conditions. A must do on the coupe is to put larger diameter rear rims and tyres on i ran 12.4/28s but you can run up to 12.4/32s you wont regret putting these on.
Also set yourself up with a good water truck/trailer and mixer we would cover around 4-500 ha a day. Ive had several coupes over the years 3640 Manual trans,4640 auto and and 7660. Cheers Thanks Nitro. Unfortunately the 4660's are a bit out of our price range. Until we know if these work in our area anyway. I have seen a few pics on the net of coupes on High flotation tyres and definetly will be going down this track. Was thinking somthing like a 650/65R26.5 but don't know if this will put to much pressure on driveline components? Also Do you know if its best to have a rib tyre up front.
Have read that a lug type is a bit hard to 'push'. Thanks Nitro. Unfortunately the 4660's are a bit out of our price range.

Cheers Its a shame you couldant go the extra for a 4660 i know you wouldnt be dissapionted!!!!!! Even a good secondhand (i have seen some dealers importing cheap low hrs secondhand). By the way dont even look at a coupe with the old style pipe boom.Make sure whatever coupe you get has a RHS self level boom on it. As far as flotation tyers i never had them we just ran the larger diameter.
Sandard is 24' and we ran a 28' but you can go to a 32' just putting the larger dia helps with ride and wont bog as easy. We ran the lug on the front what some do is run the std 12.4/24' rear tyre on the front we ran a slightly narower tyer on the front but bothe will work the lug makes them steer better than the rib.
